Four Plus One Program

The Four Plus One program provides an opportunity for outstanding students in agricultural economics or agribusiness to complete both a B.S. and M.S. in five years.

Students selected for the program take three courses for graduate credit during their senior year at K-State. M.S. requirements are completed by taking five additional courses in year five, along with six hours of thesis credit.

Students enrolled in the program are appointed as part time research or teaching assistants during their senior year. These assistantships will involve approximately six hours per week working with a faculty member, and pay a stipend of $1500 per semester. Following completion of their B.S. degree, participants will receive a 1/2 time graduate research assistantship stipend for the final year of the program. Stipends vary depending on qualifications and the availability of funding.
